Hello Readers! I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Fourth of July if you're in the US. (Happy belated Canada Day to my Canadian friends!) I went on a much-needed vacation over the long weekend and saw some family back in Indiana.
Since my last post, I finished The Mapmaker's Diary to burn one of my Free spaces on the 2020 Reading challenge and I also read the graphic novel version of Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer for my graphic novel on the challenge. Instead of doing a full review for these books, I'm just going to do a quick blurb before I get into my update. These books put me at 29/60 for the Goodreads Challenge.
The Mapmaker's Diary by C.J. Archer: As I always do with this series, I loved it and gave it five stars on Goodreads. It's a quick historical fiction/mystery with a touch of magic and romance.
Artemis Fowl: The Graphic Novel by Eoin Colfer, Andrew Donkin, Giovanni Rigano, Paolo Lamanna: I really think I actually needed to read Artemis Fowl before reading the graphic novel. I had no clue what was going on and was lost most of the time. It seems like something I'd like, and the artwork was cool, but the graphic novel just didn't provide the detail I need in stories. I felt like most of the time I was missing pieces of the story. I gave it two stars on Goodreads.
