2025 Linz The Bookworm and Logophile Reading Challenge

Hello readers! The 2025 Reading Challenge is finally here! I know some of you asked for it earlier in the month, so I apologize for the delay. Things have been hectic, but I'll explain that in the end-of-year wrap-up. I also didn't realize I hadn't posted since September. Like I said, it's been hectic.

For those of you who are new to the challenge, this is something that one of my dear friends and I put together every year for our respective blogs. Tress and I have been doing this together since 2017. We created the challenge to get us both out of our reading comfort zones in a fun way. Neither of us expected so many to join us, but watching this grow has been excellent. I truly love seeing all of the comments from those of you joining in, the requests for specific topics, and the feedback you've provided over the years.

There are five tiers to the challenge for a total of 60 books. This challenge is a choose-your-own-adventure. You can go tier by tier; you can choose what you complete. However you want to do this, it is up to you. If a prompt doesn't work for you, switch something out so that it does. It's just meant to be fun. Tress is methodical and plans what she will read for the year. I approach it like I do everything in my life - chaos and hoping for the best. The most important part is that you have fun!

Reader feedback request: I'd like to do a reader's favorites challenge. So, if you have a prompt from any previous challenges you absolutely loved, please let us know! I'll collect them as I see them, and hopefully, we'll have enough to do something cool with it. The previous challenges are in my blog's Discussion, Hauls, and Misc tab
